Introduction to Meditation with Bob Smith and Ki McGraw covers the basics and intricacies of meditation. There are a total of 40 meditation lessons that cover pranayama, concentration-contemplation, Yogic meditations, the chakras, Sufi inspired meditations, prayer offerings, nature meditations, rehersing for life meditations, samadhi with open eyes, spiritual warrior meditations, bringing meditation into your everyday life and so much more. The voices of Bob Smith and Ki McGraw are clear and insightful in mapping out the territory of consciousness. This is a captivating meditation series that also brings in the voices of Pir Vilayat Khan, Pir Zia Khan and Sri Sraddhalu Ranade. Bob and Ki lead the meditations in quite a number of different settings – the majority of the the meditations were recorded outdoors in beautiful Bali, Indonesia. Each lesson is 22 – 40 minutes in length, with the majority of them being around 30 minutes. You will be carefully guided to places you have never been to before. This course will help you to tap into your deepest resources, ultimately tuning you into the Divine Light. The video lessons are alternately taught, with Bob and Ki each in their respective meditative elegance and wisdom.
The video footage is supplemented by creative imagery drawn from the internet, helping to to capture the essence of what is being relayed. The first 1/3rd of the offerings have Ki playing wind chimes or chanting as background sound, the last 2/3rds have Tibetian singing bowls, the birds of the jungle and the night sounds of the jungle as background music. There is no other meditation course like it. We invite you to give it a try. We invite you to spread the opening of consciousness through the practice of meditation. You are encouraged to use the lessons however you wish to. Certainly there is a progression to the lessons that ultimately weaves a whole tapestry of understanding, however each and every lesson is complete in and of itself. We suggest that each lesson be worked with for approximately one week before moving onto the next lesson – this would take 40 weeks to complete the lessons. Please feel free to explore the meditation lessons in any way that works for you. We suggest each video offering be practiced with at least three times. The program will work for you if you commit to spending a minimum of three hours a week meditating with our video presentations. This is a completely unique program that you will not find anywhere else, a school of meditation so large that it encompasses all meditation traditions.
Bob trained with the great Sufi Master, Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan for more than 40 years. He was a willing participant in working for the Sufi order in digitizing hundreds of Pir Vilayat audio cassette recordings into mp3 files so his meditations could be saved for future generations (Pir Vilayat died in 2004). Brief recordings of Pir Vilayat Khan and his son, Pir Zia Inayat Khan, will occasionally find their way into Ki’s and Bob’s video meditation offerings. Bob has instructed yoga and meditation for the past 40 years.
Ki’s diligence, research and dedication to the physical, mental and spiritual well being of humankind has evolved over 35 years of professional service. Ki’s many diplomas and certificates have been earned and awarded by various leading universities, institutions and alternative programs in health related fields. These include: psychology, mental health, yoga, social work, dance, Hakomi, personal training, massage, Reiki, rebirthing, nutrition, spirituality and natural healing. She has been devout in her dedication to prayer and mediation since her awakening at age 23. She is a being of prayer and meditation.
